4 Ways Grant Tracking Software can Assist in Employee Reviews

Employee reviews can be one of the most difficult times of the year. From having to remember every achievement they've made to having to remember what goals each individual have, it can be incredibly overwhelming to try and do them last minute. Grant tracking software offers a little solace from this overwhelming feeling.

When The Grant is Late

A late grant submission can look incredibly bad on the employee reviews. This causes added stress on the body and on the team. These are often lower quality than those that are received on team, and therefore often receive less time in the hands of those who make the important decisions or are in their hands when it is incredibly late. When the employees are giving late work and it's never their best work, it can reflect badly in their reviews when it's noticed.

Tracking Times

Grant tracking software also reveals a lot of important data. If there is anything important the employee may forget - such as the number of late submissions they process, or if they have active funding in the year - this software can generate reports on the numbers. These reports can be pulled at any time during the year, and it can help give a more evenly distributed workload to the team if there is an uneven distribution that the employer is unaware of.

Keeping Track of Workload

This kind of software also helps employees keep track of their workload - not just the late submissions they process. By having this kind of information on hand when employee review time comes around, it gives a good base for employees to work with for their self-evaluation, and it gives the employer a good place to start when they interview them for the process at a later date.

Use Management Software In Addition

Grant management software can be used in addition to grant tracking software. While the tracking software does exactly that - tracking the grants and where they go - management software keeps track of much more. There's the ability to figure out award types, costs, departments, budgets, and project periods among much more. The title and the summary of the research is a good place to start, and from there it goes on.

Using a grant tracking software, like the one offered from IT Works, during employee reviews can keep the ball going. Whether it is needing to know the employee's workload or how they handle late submissions, it can be a great tool to assist you.
