You try your best to reach customers in the best possible way. First, you set marketing goals based on your current knowledge of what works and what does not. Even with all of this planning, you may still fall short of your goals and fall outside of the company's budget. Here are 4 unique marketing techniques to consider adding to a campaign.

Product Demonstrations

When people go into grocery stores enough times, they are likely to see food sampling tables. Some of them visit certain stores so they look forward to sampling food for free. One of the best ways to reach customers is to offer free products. Find all of the public places where your customers appear and hold product demonstrations. Give out free samples at malls, trade shows and seminars. Hire a speaker to engage the onlookers and encourage them to participate in the demos.

Street Marketing

Look into the ways that street marketing could help your small business. In front of some stores, there are very large signs or life-sized symbols and colors that imitate the company's logo. Build signs to get the attention of people walking on the street a few feet away. At night, use lighting, not only for holidays, to attract nighttime customers.

Careful Planning

Strategic and tactical planning is a term that few small business owners know. They assume that it's a long, drawn-out process that is too expensive to afford. It is important not to make quick assumptions when you look at marketing options. Strategic and tactical planning allows you to master the art of doing things right. Create a streamlined marketing plan that has more details and fewer errors. Include many details that outline every aspect of a goal along with every potential problem and solution.

Fan Clubs

Create unique clubs for the most loyal customers of your products. Provide various incentives through email and direct mail, such as discounts, product samples and referral rewards. Choose to charge a monthly membership fee or not, depending on your company's budget. To make profits from your fan clubs, encourage members to participate in referral marketing.

What works for some companies does not work for you. You cannot take chances either when running a small business. It may be more useful to look outside of the normal realm of business marketing. Continue to look for trends that are shaping businesses and could help yours.
