WSI/Web Solutions Texas Named Small Business of Year by Southlake Chamber

Owner Michael Burns honored for company’s growth and service to the business community by helping customers achieve improved Website performance and search engine optimization.

Southlake, TX - The Southlake Chamber of Commerce honored WSI/Web Solutions Texas as Small Business of the Year for 2006 for the company’s work helping businesses improve their presences on the World Wide Web through effective design and search engine optimization.

Chamber President Giovanna Phillips also praised Burns for his service to the community through his service on the chamber‘s board of directors.

“Michael is a savvy businessman who takes time to help others and give back to the community every chance he gets,” Phillips said. “The award reflects that, but WSI/Web Solutions Texas won for its continued growth and value to the community.”

Phillips and the entire Chamber membership experience Burns’ work in a tangible way each time the use the Southlake Chamber of Commerce Web site, developed and managed by WSI/Web Solutions Texas. That site was recognized last year by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives for excellence in design and functionality that has improved member networking opportunities and helped small businesses in Southlake gain greater online visibility.

Burns described being honored by the Southlake Chamber of Commerce as Small Business of the Year as a humbling experience. “You work not to win awards, but to build a viable business that makes a difference in people’s lives. I’m truly honored by this recognition from my fellow business men and women,” Burns said.
