Focus Four has launched new online tools for small business owners, including
podcasts and an interactive management strength and weakness assessment
tool.
The podcasts help business owners learn the fundamentals of the Focus
Four system. This system helps successful entrepreneurs develop the
focus, the habits and the balance required to take their successful
businesses and their lives to the next level of achievement.
The interactive strength and weakness assessment delves into the
business owner’s ability to delegate, and offers suggestions on how to
hand off responsibilities to staff and not just tasks.
Many entrepreneurs, according to Focus Four Coach Brent Dees, tend to
micromanage because they believe no one can do a job as well as they
can.
“They tend to micro-manage everyone's work, becoming aware of all
details and participating in all decisions, major and minor,” says
Dees. “This obsession with perfection can be a terrible waste of time
and is very demoralizing to co-workers. Start breaking this habit by
telling yourself that your co-workers are competent and don't need
hand-holding. And stick to your priority list - if finding out every
detail of every project isn't on your list, don't do it.”
Focus Four (www.focusfour.com) is a three-year executive coaching system based upon the
methods of Andrew Carnegie that helped make him, and the people around
him, millionaires. The approach was developed by Richard “Dick” Zalack
to help successful business owners and entrepreneurs develop a
strategic plan for life that enables them to achieve a higher level of
balance, focus and goal accomplishment.
