Godin to Kick-Off Show at The WCBS / North Fork Bank Small Business Breakfast

Bestselling author and marketing guru Seth Godin is scheduled to speak at the first of its kind NY Xpo for Business to be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The NY Xpo for Business is expected to draw a crowd of over 15,000 Tri-State area business, community and political leaders.
"We are very pleased to add Mr. Godin to the show's incredible line-up
that includes Mayor Michael Bloomberg and WCBS-AM business reporter Joe
Connolly," said Marc Sherer, whose company, Event Management, is
producing the show.
Godin has authored many books including "All Marketers are Liars",
"Unleashing the Idea Virus", "Permission Marketing" and his latest
"Small is the New Big". WCBS-AM and The Wall Street Journal business
reporter Joe Connolly will interview Godin as part of the WCBS / North
Fork Bank Small Business Breakfast which is the kick-off event for the
NY Xpo. Connolly is heard by millions of tri-state listeners every
morning on WCBS Newsradio 880.
Godin was founder and CEO of Yoyodyne, the industry's leading
interactive direct marketing company, which Yahoo! acquired in late
1998. He was recently chosen as one of "21 Speakers for the Next
Century" by Successful Meetings.
"We are expecting the NY Xpo for business to be the largest
business-to-business show in the Northeast and I'm certain our
attendees will gain incredible insights on how to market their

After participating in the breakfast, attendees are invited to listen
to keynote speaker Mayor Michael Bloomberg at the "Five Borough Chamber
Luncheon", sponsored by North Fork Bank.
For the remainder of the day, attendees are welcome to tour more than
400 booths and participate in their choice of ten educational tracks to
include over 50 seminars covering sales, marketing and advertising,
business management, technology and more. Lastly, the region's largest
networking party, featuring Aztec Two Step Live, will close out the
show. Admission is free to the Exhibit Hall, seminars and networking
function. There are nominal costs for the breakfast and luncheon.
The New York Times will publish the Official Guide to the NY Xpo for
Business as a special stand-alone section on Monday, November 20, 2006.
The Guide will feature a schedule of the educational seminars and
special events, the exhibit floor plan, a comprehensive list of all
exhibitors and showcase sponsors of the NY Xpo.
