June 23, 2006; 02:39 AM WASHINGTON, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by U.S. Small Business Administration: WHO: Loretta Worters, vice president of Communications with the
Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.) will host the SBA's June
Web chat on "Insuring Your Home & Business," offering tips on
insurance preparedness for small business owners, homeowners and
renters. Worters is national spokesperson for the property and
casualty insurance industry of the I.I.I., where she focuses on
major strategic issues confronting the insurance industry.
WHAT: Worters will share her expertise of the insurance industry and
answer questions on insurance coverage for businesses, homeowners
and renters, including the topics of business interruption
insurance, which helps to cover operating costs during the post-
disaster shutdown period, as well as the essentials of flood
insurance.
WHY: Disaster preparedness begins with having adequate insurance
coverage -- at least enough to rebuild your home and replace
personal belongings. Homeowners and business owners should review
their policies to see what isn't covered.
WHEN: Thursday, June 29, 2006, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., EDT.
Worters will answer questions for one hour.
HOW: Participants can join the live Web chat by going online to
http://www.sba.gov/, and clicking "Your Small Business Voice Online
Chat." Web chat participants may post questions for Worters before
the June 29th chat by visiting
http://app1.sba.gov/liveMeeting/liveWorters/intro.cfm and posting
their questions online.
The SBA's live Web chat series provides business owners with the
