Fortune Small Business Ranks ANSYS among America's Fastest-Growing Companies For Third Consecutive Year

July 5, 2006; 06:25 AM

ANSYS, Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, announced that it has been included in the 2006 Fortune Small Business list of the fastest-growing small companies in America for the third consecutive year. ANSYS is ranked number 63, making a considerable improvement from its position on last year's list (90).

This year, the Fortune Small Business list was dominated by energy and defense companies, whose financial performance was measured over the past three years. ANSYS, the only computer-aided engineering firm that has made the list three years in a row, continues to show solid financial performance.

"Our long-term financial success, combined with honors such as being named to the Fortune Small Business list, are validation that ANSYS is headed in the right strategic direction. We believe our success is a result of running our business as a business: finding the best people to do the job, closely listening to what our customers say, honoring the commitments we make and re-investing revenues into research and development," said ANSYS President and CEO Jim Cashman.

The list of 100 fastest-growing small companies, which comprises public companies, appears in the July/August issue of Fortune Small Business and is available at FSB.com.
