BlueTie, Inc., the leading provider of Software as a Service for small
to mid-sized businesses and service providers, announced the
full, private-label implementation of its email and collaboration
services for USA Datanet. More than 50,000 USA Datanet residential and
commercial users experienced a fast and seamless transition from an
internally-managed UNIX-based email system to the new BlueTie services
thanks to BlueTie's new automated provisioning system that is capable
of provisioning over 5 million accounts per month.
USA Datanet provides integrated IP communications services such as
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Internet access to commercial,
consumer and carrier customers. In May 2006, USA Datanet introduced its
Hosted IP Communications Service for businesses in the Upstate New York
market, and announced its intention to expand its offering on a
regional basis. With BlueTie, USA Datanet now has the scalability and
functionality they require for email and collaboration services and the
appropriate tools to protect their customers from the escalating threat
of spam and viruses.
"The user migration process was very well thought-out and executed,"
said Scott Matukas, President and COO, USA Datanet. "Now we can focus
on our core service offerings and expanding our business, confident
that BlueTie will deliver the best available email and collaboration
services to our customers."
Residential customers now have email with 1 Gigabyte (GB) of storage
and contacts management. Business customers have received BlueTie's
Personal Information Manager offering, which features 2GB of email
storage, as well as personal calendaring and task management. All of
USA Datanet's users will have access to BlueTie's award-winning AJAX
web client along with support for POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP, which allows
users to send, receive and manage emails from the desktop client of
their choice. BlueTie's WAP 2.0 client enables business users to access
their email from wireless devices, and DirectConnect facilitates
synchronization with Microsoft Outlook®.
USA Datanet also offers BlueTie's full-featured Collaboration suite as
an optional upgrade for its business customers. The Collaboration suite
provides users with a powerful and affordable alternative to expensive
collaboration solutions like Microsoft® Exchange, delivering valuable
features such as 10 GB of email and file storage, instant messaging,
calendar sharing, and online file sharing.
"It's exciting to be recognized as the best choice for email and
collaboration outsourcing by a leading VoIP services provider of USA
Datanet's caliber," said Kevin Beatson, Vice President, BlueTie Service
Provider Sales and Marketing. "Their focus on delivering affordable,
enterprise-class voice and data services to small and mid-sized
businesses is directly in line with BlueTie's services and business
focus, making this an ideal partnership."
