AVG UK & Ireland, the official business partner of GRISOFT, the
makers of AVG Anti-Virus software, today introduced AVG Small Business
Server (SBS) Edition for AVG Internet Security and AVG Anti-Malware to
address the immediate network security needs of small and medium-sized
businesses (SMBs). AVG SBS Edition products are designed from the
ground up to meet the requirements of SMBs that rely on servers to
provide file access, e-mail, and other IT services needed to operate
their organisations.
AVG SBS Edition products provide users with comprehensive protection
for their network, individual workstations and servers with a free
licence for file and mail servers. It also features a unique tool,
which allows for remote administration, which is critical for the large
number of SMBs that employ third parties to perform network
administration and security. Remote administration permits the network
manager to make critical security updates immediately and cost
effectively without requiring an on-site office visit.
“AVG SBS Edition brings SMBs reliable, and cost-efficient security that
is easy to manage,” explains Larry Bridwell, Global Security Strategist
of GRISOFT. “Since many of these companies do not have a security
specialist available on-site, we made installation and operation of the
system, including updates, easy and automated.”
Based on AVG Internet Security Network Edition 7.5, the SBS Edition is
specifically designed to meet the important security needs of small
businesses. It contains anti-virus and anti-spyware protection,
personal firewall and anti-spam for e-mail on the clients. AVG Internet
Security SBS Edition protects data on individual workstations as well
as on e-mail and file servers. The remote administration tool,
AVGADMIN, allows for the easy management of all settings and updates.
Additionally, all commercial users have access to free 24/7 technical
support.
AVG Anti-Malware SBS Edition offers the benefits of AVG Anti-Malware
Network Edition 7.5, including protection against viruses, spyware,
Trojans and other forms of malware including potentially unwanted
applications. AVG Anti-Malware SBS Edition also offers protection of
server-based data and support for remote administration via the
AVGADMIN tool. Technical support for commercial users is available
24/7, free of charge.
Price and Availability
GRISOFT offers AVG SBS Edition licence packages for 5+1 up to 100+1
concurrent users, with price based on total number of active computers
in a network. The extra licence offered with the package can be used to
protect one file server, mail server or another workstation.
AVG Internet Security SBS Edition starts at £211; AVG Anti-Malware SBS Edition pricing begins at £179.
Both AVG SBS Editions are immediately available on the AVG website www.avguk.com and via its extensive network of channel sales partners located throughout the world.
