Bandwidth.com
is now bundling, at no additional charge, its Monitoring & Alert
service into its suite of Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) offerings for
the SMB market. The data and alert package ensures customers increased
security and uptime on their data network.
In addition to
Bandwidth.com's full suite of voice service offerings, Bandwidth.com's
industry-leading DIA service has been specifically designed for the SMB
and provides a number of tools to make it easy for the SMB to price,
order and track install status. Now, the company is enhancing this
service to add additional layers of security and reliability through
its Monitoring & Alert service. Unlike other carrier's "monitoring"
services, which only notify customers after they've suffered an outage,
Bandwidth.com's Monitoring & Alert service actually allows
businesses to prevent outages by providing alerts when their router is
approaching a performance threshold allowing them to take proactive
steps to prevent a business-impacting outage. The service also provides
an easy-to-use reporting portal, which allows the SMB to readily view
the performance of their circuit and router, and identify any potential
issues.
"We recognize that businesses are relying on their
Internet access more than ever before and we have answered their call
to make both the purchase and maintenance of those data lines as easy
and efficient as possible," said Steve Lacoff, Bandwidth.com's VP of
Product Management and Marketing. "We understand the SMB needs Internet
access that is cost effective, easy to order and most importantly
secure. Bandwidth.com's Monitoring & Alert service ensures that our
customers will have "always-on", proactive monitoring of their circuits
and networks -- allowing our customers to identify and resolve network
issues before they can disrupt important business operations."
Bandwidth.com's
Monitoring & Alert service provides 24x7x365 proactive tracking for
all of a customer's network devices via Bandwidth.com's
state-of-the-art monitoring platform. Customers are immediately
notified of device disruptions and can access a Web-based portal, which
provides intuitive, yet highly informative reporting and visibility
into their network's performance to address issues before they cause an
outage. For each device installed at a customer site, Bandwidth.com
establishes thresholds across a range of performance statistics. If a
device crosses a specific performance threshold (or goes offline) an
alarm is automatically triggered and alerts are sent directly to a
customer's designated contact via email or pager. Bundled into all of
Bandwidth.com's data offerings, Monitoring & Alert allows customers
to achieve new levels of security and reliability with no additional
effort or expertise.
"It has always been Bandwidth.com's goal to
offer business telecommunications solutions that are not only
cost-effective and feature-rich but also realistic, easy to install and
manage," said Henry Kaestner, CEO of Bandwidth.com. "Now, with
Dedicated Internet Access, our customers also receive a complete
bundled package of data, and Monitoring & Alert service that is
both simple and secure."
