Bank of Alameda (OTCBB:NCLC), a premier East Bay community bank, announced the appointment of Ron Barrett as Vice President, Manager of SBA Loans.
“Barrett is a native East Bay resident with more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and financial services experience that will augment the wide range of services we offer our business clients,” stated Stephen G. Andrews, President and CEO of Bank of Alameda.
Before joining Bank of Alameda, Barrett served as SBA Business Development Officer for Wachovia Small Business Capital and Resource Capital. Previously, Barrett was employed as a broker and financial advisor for Merrill Lynch.
In addition to his experience in the brokerage and banking industry, Barrett has been recognized numerous times for his leadership as founder and CEO of Pride Electronics. His electronic manufacturing company was named by the President of the United States as “US Small Business Employer of the Year.”
Barrett earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at San Francisco State University and attended the University Of San Diego School Of Law.
Chief Lending Officer Troy Williams commented, “Barrett will continue to solidify Bank of Alameda’s growing franchise and business banking division. Our SBA focus under Ron’s direction will complement the Bank’s existing business unit that provides cash management, courier service, lockbox, and commercial lending to various small business and professional clientele.”
Bank of Alameda recently expanded its presence in the East Bay this January, opening a full-service 7,500 square foot commercial banking center at 155 Grand Street in Oakland. Barrett stated, “I am pleased to be joining Bank of Alameda and a group of skilled and experienced bankers dedicated to meeting the needs of commercial clientele and business owners.” Barrett further stated, “My prior experience involved working with a variety of business concerns and my background as a business owner will assist me in providing a knowledgeable and high level of personal service.
