FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Celestix Networks Inc., a leading manufacturer of network security appliances, today announced the availability of its new WSX™ appliances for Websense® Express™ software to provide small-business networks with Web filtering and Web security capabilities.
WSX Celestix appliances come in two models, one to serve small businesses with fewer than 250 users and one designed for organizations that have 250 to 1000 users on their networks.
Optimized for small-to-mid-sized customers, Websense Express software protects organizations from emerging Web-based threats, enhances user productivity and network bandwidth and enforces Internet use policies, to mitigate information theft, and to reduce help desk calls and desk-side visits caused by computers infected with malicious code. Based on Internet and security threat intelligence developed for more than 10 years, Websense Express provides protection from Web-based threats – updated automatically each day – to keep customers protected without IT resource burdens.
WSX appliances are standalone deployments that can be installed without interrupting preexisting network infrastructure. They are easy to scale as they don't have to integrate with existing proxies or other WSX appliances. The simple installation requires limited advanced planning by IT managers and can be performed in fifteen minutes or less.
“We have more than two years of experience building and selling appliances leveraging Websense Web Security Suite™ for large enterprises and are very excited about the WSX opportunity to provide Web filtering and Web security for SMBs and medium-sized enterprises,” commented Ravi Lingarkar, president of Celestix Networks. “We've had a number of inquiries from channel partners around the world for non-invasive Web filtering solutions like Websense Express.”
Celestix’ WSX appliances offer several ease-of use-features that are important for smaller organizations that employ limited IT staffing. These include:
“The WSX appliance from Celestix is a logical extension of our initiative to make Websense Express accessible to the small and medium-sized business market,” said Steve Kelley, senior director of product management at Websense. “WSX and Websense Express make it easy to quickly get up and running and immediately solve the Web security and productivity issues that plague SMB and mid-sized organizations.”
WSX2000 and WSX4000 appliances are now available for purchase through CDW and Ingram Micro. List prices are $3,299 and $3,995 USD respectively. For more information, visit www.Celestix.com/products/wsx.
