March 31, 2008; 04:42 AM
SEATTLE – March 28, 2008 – Entellium chief marketing officer, Dave Scott, will speak at the Vancouver Massive Technology Show on April 1. Scott is an expert on marketing, sales and overall business knowledge for the unique SMB market. At the show, he will participate in the Online Marketing 101 panel, and give a presentation on “Customer Relationship Management: What does it mean to you?”
“I am honored to be able to share our vision and insights on the SMB market segment,” said Scott. “Business tools that work for large companies don’t always work for a small or medium size business. We understand they have different requirements for success and conduct their business in a very different way.”
There are approximately 20 million SMBs in the US today and according to the U.S. Dept. of Commerce (2007) small businesses pay more than 45 percent of total U.S. private payroll and have generated 60 to 80 percent of new jobs annually over the last decade. However, they have a smaller success rate as only half make it to their 5th anniversary.
Entellium has created user-friendly tools that help SMBs stay afloat and enable sales professionals to close deals more effectively. The tools ultimately help customers increase their revenues and to compete both with larger companies and their own peers by focusing on their most important asset – the customer.
At the show, Scott will address issues such as:
Scott is responsible for end-to-end sales and marketing for Entellium. This includes direct and channel sales to the company’s target customer – the small and medium size business, corporate and brand marketing, public and analyst relations.
Scott has more than 16 years of strategy, marketing and sales experience in a variety of industries, including software, hardware and communications. Having focused on marketing to the SMB for most of his career, Mr. Scott consults with small businesses on effective marketing strategies. Recently, Scott has started a blog on SMB marketing for Entellium’s SMB Backtalk (www.entellium.com/blog/index.php).
