Spiderhost Gives Three Central Florida Organizations New Websites for Free
Orlando, FL – In December 2008 Spiderhost ran the Crappiest Website Contest. After reviewing 130 entries, Spiderhost chose not one but three organizations to win a free website redesign: Grubb & Ellis, The Alliance, and the Christian Service Center.
“So many deserving organizations entered, we just had to do more than one site,” said Dawn Frohman, Spiderhost’s chief creative officer.
Grubb & Ellis is a for-profit business in the commercial real estate industry. The Alliance is a non-profit business resource for Central Florida' minority and women business community. The Christian Service Center is a non-profit that helps the homeless and needy of Central Florida.
The winners will each receive a complete website redesign with a fresh look, easy-to-use content management system, streamlined navigation, and robust content. They will also get extra features like calendars, staff bios, search functionality, and contact forms.
“Any website that says ‘Welcome to our website!’ in the first line was a good candidate,” jokes Spiderhost president Dale Frohman. “But in all seriousness, the organizations we chose are hard-working folks who deserved to catch a break. We’re really happy to be able to give it to them.”
