Restrictions on Firing Employees in Illinois

Illinois laws make it unlawful for an employer to fail to allow employees time off for jury service; fail to allow employees time off to vote; deny equal employment opportunity; violate protections for veterans or reservists; retaliate against an employee for filing a wage claim or an unfair employment practice; or fire an employee for having wages withheld for child support or other garnishment.
