Restrictions on Firing Employees in Louisiana

Louisiana laws make it unlawful for an employer to fire employees because of jury service; retaliate against an employee who reports environmental violations; fire employees who invoke the law; violate protections for veterans or reservists; fire or discriminate against employees who file worker's compensation claims or who have wages withheld for child support; or deny equal employment opportunity.
