If you have a policy against moonlighting, you could, but first consult with Patrick to see why he is late. Maybe it's not the other job that's the problem. Don't assume that it is. If it turns out that the other job is the problem, explain to Patrick that you need him at work on-time all the time. If no other accommodation can be made (i.e., changing Patrick's work hours or having Patrick work another shift at the restaurant) you might want to suggest that Patrick give up the job in order to protect his job with you. Use your absenteeism or tardiness policy when consulting with Patrick. Also be sure that if you ask Patrick to give up his job that you treat other employees in the same situation the same way. Apply your policy consistently.
