Franchise Tax in VirginiaApril 13, 2006
If your corporation in Virginia is a domestic corporation (a corporation organized in Virginia) or a foreign corporation (a corporation organized in a state other than Virginia), you must file an annual report and pay an annual registration fee to the State Corporation Commission. The annual registration fee is $100 if your number of authorized shares is 5,000 shares or less. If your corporation has authorized shares of more than 5,000, you pay an annual fee of $100 plus $30 for each additional 5,000 shares, up to a maximum of $1,700. Nonstock corporations are assessed a $25 registration fee. |
