Enlighten - Educate - Empower. This is the motto of Omaha's 2007 Black Business Conference & EXPO, which will take place June 1-2 at Lake Point, 2401 Lake St., Omaha, NE.
The event will address the needs and issues of the African-American business owners and develop alliances and lasting relationships between consumers, businesses, and organizations within the African-American community.
The Conference Day (day one) will be preoccupied with learning opportunities. Nine workshops will provide business owners with the knowledge and tools for successfully starting and maintaining a business. Those in need of revitilizing their businesses will hear about the most appropriate techniques and strategies from experts from Omaha's business community.
The workshops will focus on the opportunities for launching, marketing and financing a small business and will give business owners the chance to network with panelists.
The EXPO Day (day two) will provide African-American-owned businesses and organizations the opportunity to market their goods and services. They will be able to display and sell their products, present their services, meet with other business owners and organizations and increase their customer database. The event will also feature entertainment, food and prize drawings.
