Web Hosting Offers for Your Business

In June web hosting companies launched several new promotions and products. Here are some offerings that entrepreneurs might find useful.

Supanet Hosting made several additions to its 12 months free hosting offer. It gave away a free UK domain name, a free web builder designed to make it easy for even the most inexperienced users to create a fully functional website within minutes, a free Fax2mail number, £50 of free search engine ads, a £30 Time UK voucher, unlimited web space.

The company also offered the promotion to the first 1,000 of its international customers who sign up. Users receive a free .com domain name, usually worth $14.99, and unlimited web space.

GeekStorage.com introduced a new shared and reseller service offering backed by their “Powered by Geek” support aimed at providing a developer friendly atmosphere and support for a variety of coding languages.

Intermedia launched a promotion that will provide new customers with copies of Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007® and Microsoft Expression Web. The company offered this promotion as a way to provide their customers with tools that will help them to fully optimize their SharePoint Server and Web hosting experience.

Canadian Web Hosting unveiled a new affiliate program, with which affiliates can earn $35-$75 per sale on all web hosting packages including shared and VPS Linux packages and also Windows VPS and ASP.net hosting plans. The affiliate program gives the clients of webmasters and Web designers a simple way to find a hosting service.

The Launch Pad released SMB livehost™, a core group of unique managed web hosting products designed for the small business market. The new SMB livehost™ series, available in both Windows and Linux platforms, includes a comprehensive new suite of web hosting options, tools and free-add-ons.To enhance its small business web services offerings, The Launch Pad also introduced SMB WebPacs™, the first set of fixed-priced small business web design and development packages to be offered by the long-time provider of custom website solutions.

WebDevel.com launched Online Photo Filer, an affordable, easy-to-use method for sharing photos on the World Wide Web. Online Photo Filer is a photo manager that helps users store and present their images on a specialized Web site, at their own domain name.

Advanced Internet Technologies (AIT) revamped its template store, and created four new web design bundles, offering a wide variety of features for customers. AIT calls this new plan their “Business in a Bundle”. AIT’s bundles are specifically made for the busy entrepreneur.

In June AIT launched a new web site building system - Ready4Design 2007, which enables businesses establish a professional web presence with a few clicks of the mouse. Ready4Design 2007 is free, easy and powerful and can also be private labeled for Resellers in the AIT Reseller tradition.

All Easyspace web hosting customers got access to £50 free Pay-Per-Click credit from Yahoo! Search Marketing. This new offer now takes the total available PPC Credit available with all Easyspace web hosting packages to at £145 – or £155 depending which hosting account you hold! Easyspace web hosting now includes £50 Yahoo! Search Marketing Credits, up to £30 Google AdWords Vouchers, £50 MIVA PPC credits and £25 Mirago PPC Credits, as well as the free 3 page website, 50 EasyMailer Credits and free stock photography from Fotolia!

In June Easyspace also reduced the cost of all 3 of its dedicated server hosting packages by £20 per month. The dedicated server range includes 3 packages, Starter, Business and Pro, each coming with it's own specification of processor, hard disk and memory, and each available in both Windows and Linux.

Netpreneur Host launched a package of tools designed to assist Webmasters in creating Web 2.0 Websites. The package, named Elefante Installer, is now available in all Netpreneur Host web hosting packages, and includes 34 open-source Internet programs.

Register.com announced its new, end-to-end web design service called Build My Website-Custom. The process of creating a custom site takes, on average, between 30 and 60 days. The service is based on a flat-fee of $585 with a monthly maintenance fee of $99. The monthly fee covers unlimited revisions, domain management, hosting services as well as routine upgrades and maintenance to ensure that the site functions effectively and remains current.

Register.com also launched Professional Business Email, a suite of products designed to provide small business owners with the same email functionality and protection typically available to larger businesses, at a fraction of the price. Register.com's professional business email services also provide the critical ability to link a domain name with email addresses so small businesses can promote their online business and reinforce their brands with every message they send.

Peak 10, Inc. added Electronic Vaulting (E-Vaulting) to its suite of Managed Services offerings. E-Vaulting enhances customers’ backup and storage needs by providing secure data transfer to a second Peak 10 facility.

Hostopia.com released a powerful new suite of value-added email services for small- and medium-sized business enterprises (SMBs). The new services provide several capabilities in demand by SMBs, including very large email file storage limits of 3 GB or greater, collaboration features such as shared calendars, contacts, tasks and notes, and the ability for users to synchronize email-related data between their desktop, web-based email applications and a large choice of wireless mobility devices.

Eskhosting added a whois privacy service to their wide range of services. The new service was introduced in response to the demand of the company's valued customers who want to keep their domain name registration details confidential and get private registration data fully protected from exposure in public Whois database.

Host Depot launched a new promotion designed to provide new and existing web hosting and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) customers with a complimentary coupon for Microsoft adCenter valued at up to $200. Microsoft adCenter is a platform that enables advertisers to create, manage and optimize their search marketing campaigns and target buyers from a pool of millions of search users on the MSN and Windows Live networks.

SherpaHost.com expanded the options for its dedicated server customers by adding an Assisted Service Plan – a professional solution without the traditional costs. SherpaHost.com’s technical support will address needed patches, backups, monitoring and vulnerability assessments.

LexiConn Internet Services, Inc. unveiled a new Email Marketing Module for the ShopSite e-commerce software solution. This new offering allows clients to have a fully featured mailing list solution for sending newsletters, promotions, announcements, and follow up autoresponses. Features include a comprehensive campaign editor, dozens of pre-made templates, full tracking statistics, and automated bounce handling. The system can tie into the ShopSite Pro e-commerce software to automatically subscribe customers to a mailing list, and send customized auto responses at pre-determined times for effective follow-up and customer satisfaction.

CrystalTech Web Hosting launch a new sales event that offers customers significant savings along with no additional monthly fees required until 2008. During its Summer Spectacular sale, CrystalTech customers can order any new shared, semi-dedicated and dedicated hosting plan priced $7.95 per month and up and receive free hosting until 2008 when they pay for the first two months and the setup fee upfront. As a result, customers will receive the rest of the year at no charge and will not have to pay for their hosting again until 2008.

SharkSpace offered virtual private servers targeted towards hosting resellers and small to large sized websites. SharkSpace’s virtual private servers will utilize Virtuozzo technology. SharkSpace will allow customers to choose between the three most popular hosting control panels to run on their VPS - Cpanel / WHM, Plesk and DirectAdmin The SharkSpace VPS product line starts at $29.95, which will help reduce the running costs of companies or individuals that need more resources than shared hosting, but don’t need all the resources provided by dedicated servers.
