Session acquaints small business owners with government contracting opportunities

Washington - The U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA's) National Capital Region will hold a small business procurement conference to acquaint small business owners with Government contracting opportunities on June 8, 2006.
The conference will provide sessions to raise attendees' awareness of the Federal procurement process. Participants will also learn how to develop relationships with small business advocates in Federal agencies and gain knowledge of techniques for marketing to the government. There will be opportunities to meet prime contractors, as well as networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs.
Lurita Doan will make her first appearance before the small business community as GSA's newly appointed Administrator. Until July 2005, Mrs. Doan was the president and CEO of the small business New Technology Management, a leader in information technology services for the Federal government.
