In addition, 20 mini-workshops will be held at half-hour intervals throughout the day with an "emerging track" and an "established" track of small-business topics. The Expo represents a perfect opportunity for both emerging and established entrepreneurs/small business owners to enhance their businesses through education, networking, commerce and mentoring -- the four-legged stool.

Design of Expo activities offers high quality educational programming, active networking, and orchestrated opportunities for commerce. All speakers and workshops support the small business and entrepreneurial community. Generally 1,200 - 1,500 business professionals representing small to large businesses from around the Midwest region exhibit and network, including:

-- established microbusinesses and entrepreneurs who want to grow their business
-- businesses in a start-up phase who want to shorten the learning curve to minimize their risk
-- individuals interested in becoming self-employed and are examining options or business opportunities
-- large and medium sized corporations that are looking for outsourcing resources and that market to the small business demographic
-- independent business professionals who are looking for additional clients, strategic partners, vendors
-- regional (resource) government agencies and non-profit organizations that serve small businesses
