Dataprobe Recognized by Harris Corporation for Achievements in Program Excellence

Company Receives 'Small Business Supplier Award,' Representing Four Years of Project Innovation and Support

April 25, 2006; 06:05 AM
ALLENDALE, NJ - Dataprobe, a leading manufacturer of innovative technology solutions for networking, systems and site management, has received the Small Business Supplier Award from Harris Corporation's Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD) for the company's achievements in program excellence.

The award represents a four-year relationship between Dataprobe and Harris that included work on the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) program to upgrade the agency's nationwide telecommunications network. Dataprobe supplied critical switching components used to ensure communications between pilots and air traffic controllers.

"Dataprobe has been an invaluable teammate and supplier to Harris Corporation over the past four years," said Gary Clark, Harris GCSD's senior manager of materiels. "A high level of network reliability is vital to the success of the FAA's mission. Dataprobe has consistently provided reliable, customized solutions to fit our project needs, helping to ensure quality results time after time. We are grateful for the relationship we've developed with Dataprobe, which is precisely what this award symbolizes."

"The opportunity to work on projects with a worldwide technology leader such as Harris is a reward in itself, but this supplier award is a true honor," said David Weiss, president of Dataprobe. "We are proud of our efforts on these projects, and this award is a tribute to the innovation and drive of our staff. We look forward to continued success as we continue our collaboration with Harris."

Dataprobe and Harris have continued their relationship since implementing the rigorous FTI program. The program was initiated in July 2002 when the FAA selected Harris to upgrade its communications network, focusing on improving technology and network services at more than 4,500 FAA facilities nationwide. Dataprobe, which had already worked on a redundancy switching system project with the FAA, was selected as a primary subcontractor for the overhaul.
