TSBOM The Small Business Owners Manual MP3 Podcasts in Production

Los Angeles, CA -  Joe Kennedy, author of “The Small Business Owners Manual” announced today that an mp3 podcast series of his book is now in production.

Kennedy and two other readers are producing selected parts of the book for free distribution through top podcasting sites such as Apple iTunes, Podcast.net, Yahoo Podcasts, Google PodcastDirectory.com(a Featured Podcast) all of which already carry the first seven episodes. The same audio content is at Kennedy's associated web site TSBOM.com.

“This is an interesting publishing project because podcasting is huge right now, and many are hungry for business content,” said Joe Kennedy. “The printed version of the book remains the best for many, but others who are traveling, driving, jogging or just working late at the office are increasingly tuning into the growing library of educational content. I hope TSBOM can get a part of this and get to an audience that would not otherwise find us.”

But how can TSBOM make money by giving away the same content that costs up to $19.99 in retail stores? Kennedy replies that this is not a major issue for two reasons. First, his firm makes most of its revenues when entrepreneurs contract TSBOM to perform business services, and not from sale of the book; so hopefully this will bring in some new small business services clients. And secondly, many who start by listening to the podcasts will end up buying the book anyway.

“The podcasts give samplings of the book to many who would not otherwise come in contact with it at all," said Kennedy, "and a portion of these will convert to book buyers."

“The Small Business Owners Manual” is being produced in ten to twenty minute segments at the rate of about two per week. Chapter 4 (Marketing: Artillery for Sales) and parts of Chapter 2 (Beginnings of Your Small Business) are already online. But getting the entire book into audio will take several months since it weighs-in at 125,000 words in over 312 pages.
