AT&T Inc. announced that small businesses can now make the switch to AT&T Yahoo!(R) High Speed Internet Business Edition for their broadband service quicker than ever - and also receive some spending money as part of a new promotion.

Recognizing that high speed Internet access is the lifeblood of an increasing number of small businesses, AT&T now provides installation and activation of its AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition service within five calendar days of the order being placed. The five-day order-to- activation service level agreement, which applies to AT&T's 13-state incumbent local exchange area, is among the best currently available from any DSL provider in the United States. Customers are entitled to credits on their recurring monthly service fee in the event that AT&T does not meet this service standard.

In addition, as part of a new promotion, businesses that switch from a competitor service to AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition before Dec. 31, 2006, will receive a $75 Visa Gift card. The promotion applies to new customers throughout AT&T's 13-state incumbent local exchange area where its high speed Internet service is available.

"Our goal is to continually deliver better high speed Internet service and value for our customers," said Mike Jenner, vice president-AT&T Business Marketing. "We are pleased to offer this industry-leading order-to-activation time frame, because we recognize that our business customers need reliable Internet access to operate their businesses in today's global economy."

Other service agreements that come with subscribing to AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition include 24-hour service restoration for network outages, 99.9 percent network availability, an average network latency rate of no more than 40 milliseconds a month and a 99.9 percent data delivery rate.

AT&T offers simplified 12-month pricing for all service plans. New customers ordering online or as part of a qualifying AT&T voice service package receive high speed Internet service at the following rates (a 12-month term commitment is required):

-- Express service (384 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps downstream) for $34.99 a month
-- Pro service (1.5 Mbps to 3.0 Mbps downstream) for $39.99 a month
-- Elite service (3.0 Mbps to 6.0 Mbps downstream) for $54.99 a month

These prices are for dynamic IP service plans. Static IP service plans are also available. Bundled service packages are available that provide business customers with additional cost-savings that can include AT&T long distance, AT&T Unified Messaging(sm) and Cingular Wireless(R) services.

All AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition service plans include free AT&T Yahoo! Business Mail and AT&T Wi-Fi basic service, after rebate redemption. With AT&T Yahoo! Business Mail, customers receive a full-featured e-mail solution with customized e-mail addresses based on your domain name, industry-leading security and spam protection, as well as administrative and scheduling tools. Small business customers can benefit from unlimited Internet access at more than 11,000 AT&T Wi-Fi locations nationwide, including hotels, airports, convention centers, coffee shops, restaurants and business centers.
