AT&T Inc. has announced that small businesses can now buy broadband Internet services at more than 780 AT&T wireless retail stores, formerly Cingular retail stores.

In addition to selling its existing suite of wireless solutions specifically designed for small businesses, AT&T retail sales consultants can now work face to face with small business owners to provide customized assistance and complete the order process for broadband Internet service.

“AT&T knows that each business owner, like each business, is different, and we recognize that each one has different purchasing preferences,” said John Regan, vice president, AT&T Business Marketing. “Our retail channel is one of our key competitive differentiators and allows small business owners to work face to face with our retail sales consultants.

AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition is available for purchase by small businesses at company retail stores in 13 states — Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin. In addition, the company plans to offer FastAccess® Business DSL in retail stores in the former BellSouth’s nine-state local service area (Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) by the end of the year.

AT&T offers a variety of broadband Internet options to meet the unique needs of small businesses. AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition is available in the 13-state area with maximum downstream speeds ranging from 1.5 Mbps to 6.0 Mbps; prices start at $34.99/month. AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Business Edition includes Service Level Agreements (SLAs), AT&T Yahoo! Online Protection and Business Class Technical Support. Currently, AT&T Yahoo! Business Mail and AT&T Wi-Fi Basic Service are included at no charge after rebate redemption.

This in-person customer service capability for small business owners is another example of how quickly AT&T is moving to use its expanded presence and wireless assets to deliver more solutions, better delivery choices and expertise to small businesses. In the past three months, AT&T has also rolled out a series of “quad play” services and capabilities that integrate wireless services into a bundle for small to midsized businesses.

One such offering is the AT&T Complete Office SolutionSM, which includes unlimited local and nationwide calling, broadband Internet, AT&T Unified MessagingSM, wireless service and an AT&T Real Yellow Pages listing, all provided on a single bill. Another offer, launched in January, is the Unity PlanSM, where small business customers can make or receive free calls from any AT&T wireless or wireline phone numbers nationwide without incurring additional wireline usage fees or using wireless minutes.

For more information about broadband Internet services from AT&T, small business customers can stop by the nearest AT&T retail store or call toll-free (866) 722-9246.
