ATLANTA, GA – LawDocsXpress (www.lawdocsxpress.com), a leader in providing online legal secretarial services for law firms, corporate legal departments and governmental entities, was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the Seventh (7TH) Fastest Growing Women-Owned Businesses in Atlanta while their CEO, Sharon Quaintance was recently named a finalist in the 2006 Small Business Person of the Year, an event jointly sponsored by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle recognizes LawDocsXpress as being the Seventh (7th) fastest growing women-owned business in Atlanta. The list is created using a weighted average growth rate. The LawDocsXpress rate was 32.78% with a percent change in revenue of 1075.43%.
“We believe that numerous factors lead to our growth – including our patent-pending process, greater acceptance of outsourcing, expansion with existing clients and word of mouth referrals,” says Quaintance, CEO of LawDocsXpress.

In addition to the patent-pending technology, LawDocsXpress uses a series of processes to maintain their quality of service. They match experienced labor to attorneys by practice area and then use the same secretaries each time to improve accuracy and turnaround time. They only use U.S. labor. They uniquely offer “conflict checks” using the client’s procedure or LawDocsXpress patent-pending process.

About The Small Business Person of the Year

The Small Business Person of the Year event honors one outstanding small businessperson every year for their contributions to Atlanta's civic and business community. Small businesses are a critical sector in Atlanta with more than 130,000 total businesses in the metro area. Nearly two-thirds of job growth in Atlanta is from small businesses according to the Chamber.

“It’s an honor to be considered one of the five top small business leaders in the Atlanta metro area,” Quaintance said. “This recognition is additional independent validation of the increasing acceptance of our business model nationwide. Being a community leader and entrepreneur requires balancing one’s life. At LawDocsXpress, we contribute to this balance by redefining the successful workplace and allowing secretaries and attorneys to work from anywhere at anytime.”

Other finalists for the 2006 Small Business Person of the Year Award were:
·    Dan Campbell, CEO, Hire Dynamics
·    Tammy Cohen, president and chair, InfoMart
·    Joe Snowden, president, McRae Communications
·    Arnold Silverman, president of Silverman Construction Program Management (Winner)

To qualify, nominees were required to be a primary owner or a major shareholder of a business that has been locally established for at least three years with gross annual revenues not exceeding $40 million. They were also required to be a member in good standing of the Chamber and an active member of the community.
