The American Business Awards have named MonsterCommerce of Belleville, IL, a finalist for a Stevie® Award as a 2006 Most Innovative Company. The nomination is yet another accomplishment for the growing e-commerce hosting company that has had an impressive and busy year.
MonsterCommerce (http://www.monstercommerce.com/) has certainly done its job keeping the buzz in Belleville, IL. The e-commerce hosting company has just achieved yet another impressive milestone with the announcement that they are a finalist for a 2006 Most Innovative Company Stevie® Award.
The Stevie® Awards are presented by the American Business Awards, which
nationally recognizes outstanding businesses and individual
performances in the workplace. MonsterCommerce was among the 1,500
entries that were received by companies both large and small for
consideration in over 40 categories.
"Being named a Finalist in The American Business Awards is an important
achievement," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The
Stevie Awards. "It means that independent business executives have
agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We
congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them
well in the competition."
The winners of "the business world’s own Oscars" will be announced at
the annual gala on June 12 in New York City. The Members of the Awards’
Board of Distinguished Judges and Advisors will determine the finalists
that will receive a Stevie® Award.
Vice President of Online Services, Dan Kennedy, notes that the
nomination is perfectly in line with the goals of the shopping cart
software provider, "Since inception, MonsterCommerce has strived to be
the most innovative company in the space we serve; small to
medium-sized e-commerce businesses. It’s rewarding to be recognized by
such a prestigious group as the Stevie® Awards."
This is another impressive benchmark for the still young but quickly growing company. MonsterCommerce
began in 1998 as a shopping cart solution for people starting online
business ventures. The e-commerce hosting company has now grown to
offer a full suite of services for clients starting online business
websites, from Web Design to Web Promotions.
The organization has also been acquired by Network Solutions, based in
Herndon, VA. This recent merger has enabled MonsterCommerce to more
than double in size and offer more services for both e-commerce and
non-commerce websites.
MonsterCommerce was voted one of St. Louis’ Top 50 Businesses, named
2006 2nd Fastest Growing Company in St. Louis, deemed Best Small
Business E-Commerce Solution in Entrepreneur Magazine, and earned a
Finalist Nomination for Best E-commerce Software Codie by SIIA.
President and General Manager, Stephanie Leffler, was also a finalist
for a Stevie® Award in 2005 for Best Young Entrepreneur.
These impressive milestones, along with their pioneering new products
have earned MonsterCommerce the nomination as Most Innovative Company
of 2006.
