Barclays has developed a brand-new seminar to help small business
owners boost their profit. The bank will be running a programme of free
seminars: Let’s Talk More Profit (http://www.barclays.co.uk/seminars/moreprofit/) and Let’s Talk Bright Marketing (http://www.barclays.co.uk/seminars/brightmarketing/) from May 23rd.
New research from Barclays shows that 80 per cent of small business
owners want to spend up to a third of their working day developing
their business, specifically on areas such as marketing and profit
making strategies. Currently a third of owners spend less than five per
cent of their time on these types of activities. The need to improve
their bottom line is essential for any business and attendees of the
seminar will look at various profit-making strategies and develop
individual action plans to help them put their tactics into action.
John Davis, marketing director for local business at Barclays says,
"This seminar will help small businesses reap serious short and
long-term rewards. Our research shows that eight in 10 small business
owners want to dedicate more time to developing the business; this
seminar will certainly help delegates to do exactly that and focus on
building a successful and profitable business."
The seminar has been developed by Barclays and is being delivered by a
leading management consultant Robert Craven, author of 'Kick-start Your
Business' and 'Customer is King' who has been referred as 'the
entrepreneurship guru' by the Financial Times. He is also managing
director of The Directors' Centre, has run his own restaurant, sound
recording studio and training company and spent five years running
training and consultancy courses for entrepreneurial businesses at
Warwick Business School.
Robert Craven, who will be delivering the workshops, says "The
workshops are a brilliant opportunity to step back, think about what
you are trying to do and start to make decisions that will
fundamentally improve the profitability of your business. These events
are lively, interactive and, believe it or not, great fun to attend!"
