Here are tips to give you the push you need to jumpstart your products and services:
1st Step: Get hold of the right name.
More
importantly, secure a name that can be easily memorized, recognized,
relevant, and is easy to say. One marketer suggests that if you’re
looking for your business name, you should be able to not only say it
when you see it; but you must be able to spell your name when
pronounced.
This is the very first step to your marketing success.
2nd Step: Describe your product.
This
is a no brainer really. If you are the business owner or manufacturer,
doesn’t it stand to reason that you should be able to tell your target
market what your new product is all about? You should always look at
your product in your target market’s eyes. Would they be able to
understand and see right away what you’re promoting? This is where your
cache of nouns can be applied to your full color business cards for
example. The more specific your noun for describing your product, the
better.
3rd Step: Provide a powerful visual representation of your business.
This
is e where your logo comes in. As a visual representation of what you
believe in, what you consider as your traditions and issues, your logo
provides that strong visual image that gives your target audience the
chance to see a valuable identity. This is the reason why you integrate
your logo to all of your marketing tools, be it business card printing
pieces or the one-page flyer.
A strong visual identity enhances
your target market’s positive impression of you and your business. In
fact, when used consistently, it conveys an image of expertise and
market leadership.
4th Step: Find that ‘great idea’.
This
is often what business owners forget when they’re creating their ad –
they forget to look for not just a great idea, but the right one as
well. Provide a creative one for your marketing campaign and you’ll
surely get your target market so interested.
5th Step: Tie in your message throughout your marketing arsenal.
It
conjures an amateurish image especially if you have multiple tools to
get your message across. It’s either you make your target readers so
confused or so upset because they can’t make heads or tails of what
you’re trying to say.
6th Step: Start with an idea, then support it with key messages.
This
is one formula one marketer has used to successfully launch his
business: one great idea supported by 3 to 5 key messages can go along
way in helping your target clients remember you.
