In today’s world, it takes two incomes to support a household. Parents are finding, however, that their children suffer in more ways than one when both parents work away from the home. Other’s find that they are missing out on a great deal of their children’s lives, and that time is flying by. Working from home solves these problems, but finding work that one can do from home, for a profit, isn’t as easy as it sounds.

Unfortunately, this is where the scam artists come into the picture. These people prey on moms and dad’s that want to work from home – especially those who are desperate to work from home. These scammers take your money and squash your dreams, all the while telling you how you can become rich overnight. In fact, they make it sound so incredible, even the most sensible of people fall for their lies.

But, in reality, it is possible to work from home and make an income. It’s just a question of finding the right information to help you get started. There are work from home jobs, and work from home businesses that are legitimate. Some of these will provide you with a small income, while others provide you with a slightly larger income. All of them, however, do require actual work and effort on your part.

Here are some ways you can start surviving financially as a stay at home mom:

* Get a work from home job. You can find legitimate work from home jobs.

* Take more than one work from home job to ensure that you are making the income that you hoped to earn. Don’t depend on one source of income. Just make sure that your home based work isn’t taking time that is needed for your family – remember the object was to be able to stay home with the children.

* Start your own home based business. You can find information for starting your own business.

* Find ways to live frugally. Cut costs wherever you can. In many cases, just by downsizing, a family can afford to have just one income. You can get information on frugal living.

If you put thought and effort into it, you really can stay home with your children and earn money at the same time. Just remember that with any home business or home based job, you will only get out of it what you put into it – and don’t believe anybody that promises you something for nothing! Furthermore, you should never pay to do a work at home job.
